Blog Journal #2

      Throughout my time in school, I have primarily used Google Docs and Pages. For notes I prefer to use Pages since it is the easiest to access on my laptop. Pages is also convenient for when I do not have a stable Wifi connection. For essays I tend to use Google Docs due to its autocorrect feature. I have very rarely used Microsoft Word as I find it to be the most outdated of the three options.     The ISTE Standard that I find to be the most meaningful is "2.1 Learner." Even as an educator, learning never stops. As new technologies become available, educators must put themselves in the mindset of a student in order to familiarize themselves with the new material. Learning is a never-ending cycle for everyone, not one person in the world will ever be able to learn everything there is to learn.     I do agree with the label "digital native" for today's youth. Introduction

 Hi, I'm Jackie! I am a third year student at Florida State University. I'm currently earning my bachelor's degree in psychology with a double minor in education and business. Originally I am from Florida but have also lived in Virginia over the course of my life. Technology has been an important component for my education for as long as I can remember. In eighth grade my middle school began to utilize Google Classroom for our assignments. In both high school and college my classes have utilized Canvas for assignments. Over the years I have used various programs such as Quizlet, Kahoot, Prezi, etc. I regularly use Quizlet to review material for my classes. I find myself using search engines such as Google when I am studying to gain clarity on concepts I am not too familiar with. Google offers endless amounts of information, including scholarly articles, which are especially useful when I am assigned a paper. I also go to the library when necessary, whether I need a place to
