      By working on the Web Design assignment, I gained numerous skills that will be useful for my future as an educator. Some of the skills I learned from creating my own website include utilizing the Google Calendar feature, replacing long URLs with clickable text, and embedding social media platforms within a website. I utilized the design principle contrast by having dark text and light backgrounds throughout the entirety of my website. I ensured there was repetition throughout my website by utilizing the same fonts for all forms of text. I incorporated alignment into my website by utilizing columns to display text and photos. I took proximity into account when designing my website by differentiating separate information under different titles and columns. I enjoyed seeing the finished product of my website and was very pleased with the ease of using Weebly throughout the process of creation. The courses offered on the website are entirely free, self-directed, and self-paced, allowing flexibility for educators. Upon completion of a course, participants are awarded certificates.
