By working on the Web Design assignment, I gained numerous skills that will be useful for my future as an educator. Some of the skills I learned from creating my own website include utilizing the Google Calendar feature, replacing long URLs with clickable text, and embedding social media platforms within a website. I utilized the design principle contrast by having dark text and light backgrounds throughout the entirety of my website.      Under Grade 2 Computer Science's Strand SC.2.CC: Communication and Collaboration, there are a total of four standards. One of these four standards includes Standard 1 SC.2.CC.1: Communicate Information with digital tools. Standard 1 SC.2.CC.1 has four substandards that are SC.2.CC.1.1, SC.2.CC.1.2, SC.2.CC.1.3, and SC.2.CC.1.4. Based on my current skill set, I feel confident in being able to implement this standard into the curriculum of my future class. I am familiar with all of these actions and have had personal experience with all four of these requirements.      I selected the Grade 2 Toolkit and selected STEM Lessons - Model Eliciting A...

Throughout the course of my academic career, I have very infrequently used MS Word. In elementary, middle, and high school, Google Docs was the main word processing platform I used. After obtaining a Macbook my senior year of high school, I began to transition to Pages as my preferred word processing platform. I personally prefer Pages over Google Docs and MS Word because it does not require a Wi-fi connection to access and edit documents. I find it much more convenient to not have to rely on a stable Wi-fi connection to count on my documents to save changes, as opposed to Google Docs. I am very unfamiliar with MS Word, so I cannot properly attest to its pros and cons.          One of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)'s Standards for Educators includes Standard 2.1: Learner. This standard encourages teachers to continue to expand their knowledge to better their abilities as an educator. To do this, the three ways t...
